The story of #basanti started in 2017, but is rooted to 1989 when a humble textile trader - Mr Sadanand Ahuja, my grandfather - started trading Varanasi textiles & entered the women’s clothing spectrum. Over the years the business evolved into a landmark operation spread across the country providing innovative & high quality occasion-wear for women to over 1000 retailers spearheaded by my mom & dad - Indu & Sanjay Ahuja.
The idea of #basanti came to us over the simple thought of happiness. We wanted to create a careful & cheerful curation of clothing that spoke love, comfort, ease of living & humble celebration.
In 2019 we entered a new Era with the Warehouse Experience Centre at our Naraina Headquarters shared with a MATSYA Studio sprawling over 10,000 sq ft of textile & clothing magic. In 2020 we launched “BasantiKeKapde.com” in an effort to provide the same experience to our clients at home who can’t reach us physically.
The product marries sustainability & revivalism in a minimalistic simplicity of love. Innovations like bamboo textiles & evolution of craftsmanship have driven us with everyday comfort at heart. We are coming soon with a fresh label that will create economic sustainability with a 100% organic product, further paying homage to what we stand for. We are humbled to have been blessed with your affection & been able to become a part of your journeys & celebrations.
